We investigate new and improved ways of making light interact with very small matter, particularly by designing metal and semiconductor nanostructures.
We are pushing Optics to the nanometer scale by using, for example, molecules, atomically thin materials, and tailored nanostructures. Our goal is to bridge fundamental science into nanophotonic applications in ultrasensitive biochemical sensors.
